SOCIAL EVENTS – DISCUSSIONS – REFRESHMENTS – INFORMATION

We are one of the nationwide breathe easy groups which are part of The British Lung Foundation charity.

You will find us a small friendly group of adults, which was set up in 2005. We joined the BLF officially in June 07.

Everyone in our group has a lung condition or cares or has cared for a partner, family member or friend who has had a lung condition.

Support Group

Our aim is to assist and promote information that helps us to manage our disease better and therefore improve the quality of our lives.

Members help each other out with advice and the group has links to many contacts and advisors.

Our BLF contact is Hannah Tucker and our medical contacts are from the respiratory teams Chronic Respiratory Disease Service. Our contacts attend some meetings.

Monthly Meetings

The meetings are from 2pm - 4pm on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at :

Parish Center, St. Nicholas and St. Andrews Church Hall, South Street,                       Old Portslade Village, BN41 2LE.

Buses 1 and 1A stop outside. Free Parking is available.  Click here for a map.

We usually hold a raffle each meeting to help raise funds.

All attendees are made very welcome and you can bring a friend or relative.

At most meetings we have a guest speaker. Past speakers include a pharmacist, benefits advisor, recycling manager, physiotherapist, fireman and community police officers.

You can also sign up to our monthly newsletter which includes news and future meetings, events and speakers.

Other Events

Over the last year we arranged 3 day trips out and these were great fun - we'll be planning more for the future !

We also fund raise at fetes or similar for ours and BLF funds.

Each June the British Lung Foundation have an awareness week; we contribute by promoting awareness of lung disease in an Asda foyer one morning that week.
